Contractor Forms

Contractor forms are agreements made between property owners and contractors.  They detail work required to be done by the contractor within a specified time for a specified amount. Contractor forms should be dated in order for the timeline to be verifiable. They must also detail all the work that should be done by the contractor on the said property. They are legally binding and can be used in the event of a lawsuit.

The contractor must adhere to the specified timeline or risk deductions in his payment or in extreme cases a lawsuit. Contractor forms should be written and filed by a qualified attorney. There are many sample contractor forms available online to help you draw your own contract. The forms must be signed by both parties and in the presence of a witness. The witness can be a public notary. The form becomes null and void once the work is completed and payment is made.
