Landlord Consent to Assignment Form
A landlord consent to assignment form is used to get the consent of the landlord for the assignment of a lease to a new tenant. The purpose of such a form is to acknowledge the new tenant’s obligations to the landlord for the remainder of the lease term. The form must also mention if the original tenant is still liable if the new tenant does not meet its obligations under the lease like paying the rent or if he causes damages to the property. By putting the terms and conditions in writing and arranging them in an organised form will help to clearly lay down the assignment terms between the three parties.
