Assignment of Residential Lease Form

November 15, 2011 | By | Reply More

An assignment of residential lease form is used by the original tenant of a residential lease agreement to assign his or her right and responsibilities under that lease to another tenant. Sometimes the tenant may have to leave the city for another job or other personal and financial reasons. In such a case, the original tenant can assign his or her rights and responsibilities to someone else, provided he gets the consent from the landlord. Through this new contract, the original tenant is released from most liabilities and the new tenant has to pay the rent and follow the other terms and conditions mentioned in the original lease agreement.
